Privacy Policy

Social Media Text Formatter and Preview ("the extension") does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

What the extension does

• All text you type stays in the browser side panel and is never sent anywhere.
• The extension makes no network requests and loads no remote resources.
• The "Copy" button writes text to your local clipboard using the browser's standard clipboard API. The extension never reads your clipboard.
• No analytics, tracking, or third-party scripts are included.

Permissions

The extension requests a single permission:

• sidePanel — required so the browser can display the extension's UI in the side panel. It is not used to access page content, browsing history, or other tabs.

Data storage

The extension does not use localStorage, chrome.storage, cookies, or any other persistence mechanism. Closing the side panel clears whatever you typed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and in PRIVACY.md in the project repository.
